Blairsville, GA is north Georgia mountain town that is positioned for growth. With a convenient location in the Appalachian Mountains, they have all the amenities of modern life without the hassle of congested traffic, smog, and expensive overhead found in larger cities within a 2 hour drive, like Atlanta, Chattanooga, and Knoxville. Often visitors to their mountain oasis, fall in love with the area and turn Blairsville into their home. The goal of their campaign is two-fold: 1. To bring more tourists to the area to experience all the Blairsville has to offer, and 2. To convert tourists into residents, encouraging them to move their business or open a business in this thriving mountain town.
Problem: Current target audience often visits competing mountain towns.
Solution: Encourage outdoor enthusiasts, foodies, young families, and mountain tourists to stop in and visit Blairsville on their next getaway.
Media: Social media advertising, print media, including Southern Living and other prominent publications, state park guides, television, outdoor, online display advertising, online video, and other sponsorships, apps and print materials. Results: In the first year, we exceeded their goal, reaching over 12 million people with their campaign and increasing tourism by 15% in the area.
